Biography

Dr. Ugwu,  an Associate Professor, received his Ph.D and M.Ed in Public Health Education in 2016 and 2012 respectively, and a bachelor’s degree in Health Education in 2007 from University of Nigeria Nsukka. He has been an academic researcher at UNN since 2010 till date. With over 65 research articles in reputable journals and ≥350 citations, his research interest spans gerontology and geriatrics, women’s health, chronic diseases, and global public health. Dr. Ugwu actively contributes to academic leadership and curriculum development through committee memberships and conference roles. He is a member of professional bodies including HEPRAN, NAHE, and TRCN.
