Jessica Silva Brunoni is a registered nurse, Master’s degree holder, and PhD candidate at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO), Brazil, with a doctoral mobility period at the Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto (ESEP), Portugal. She is a lecturer in nursing and a researcher with experience in qualitative research, health literacy, wound care, and Open Science. Her doctoral research focuses on the application of citizen science in nursing research, exploring its conceptual foundations, methodological challenges, and potential to strengthen socially engaged and person-centred healthcare.
