Biography

Yvonne is the ANP in ED at Regional Hospital Mullingar since 2008. She has 27 years nursing experience, 24 years of which is in ED. As the ANP in ED, she manages a large cohort of patients, specialising in musculoskeletal problems and complex wounds. As the first ANP in the hospital, Yvonne provides leadership to her ANP and candidate ANP colleagues as well as to the multidisciplinary team. Yvonne is currently in the 4th year of her PhD journey with UCD, and is a strong advocate for research and career development in her workplace, especially among her nursing colleagues. In tandem with her own doctoral study, Yvonne’s current project is on engaging all ANP/AMP colleagues in her healthcare setting in a collaborative research project.
