Abstract

Companies consistently look for ways they can positively affect employee retention. One inpatient pharmacy department in the Midwest realized a 25% increase in first year retention that led to a 58% drop in yearly onboarding by focusing on orientation and onboarding, training and education, and role development. This presentation will discuss tactical ways any department can accomplish these goals.

The audience take away from presentation:

  • Discuss tangible ways to implement changes that will drive retention through professional development principles.
  • Speak to the timeline required to implement professional development changes that impact overall employee retention.
