Sleep disturbances are increasingly recognized as a comorbid condition among adults living with diabetes. This review explores the prevalence and predictors of poor sleep quality in diabetic populations in Saudi Arabia. A systematic review was conducted using PubMed, CINAHL, MEDLINE, Web of Science, and SCOPUS. Search terms included 'diabetes', 'sleep quality', 'sleep problem or disturbance', 'Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index', 'sleep quality measurement', and 'Saudi Arabia'. Studies published between 2010 and 2024 were screened following PRISMA guidelines. Nine studies met the inclusion criteria. Prevalence of poor sleep ranged from 55.4% to 100%. Common predictors included female gender, poor glycemic control, long disease duration, comorbidities, and psychosocial stress. Sleep problems are highly prevalent in Saudi adults with diabetes. Routine sleep assessment should be integrated into diabetic care. Future research should consider objective tools like actigraphy.
